I work with clients to explore goals and make achievable steps towards them. I have been working as a counsellor for the past 15 years within the Halifax Community.
I am an approved therapeutic counsellor for NS Community Services as well as NS Department of Justice to provide Voice of the Child reports. As a long time educator, I am keenly aware of the complex and dynamic nature of education systems and how they impact youth, families and employees.

About Cherie
As a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT-C) and Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC), I provide a safe and compassionate environment as individuals identify and explore the challenges and barriers they experience. Since 2001, I have worked with youth and young adults in various professional roles and have been a high school counsellor
for the past 15 years.

I am a Doctor of Education (EdD) candidate with focus on inclusion, diversity and social justice at Western University. I hold degrees in English Literature (1999), Education (BEd 2001), Literacy (MEd 2005), Counselling (MEd 2011) and Administration and Policy (MEd 2023).
